The worst fears of the Kansas City Chiefs and fantasy football managers everywhere have been confirmed. An MRI Monday morning confirmed that superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a complete tear of the ACL in his left knee during Sunday's game against the Colts.

The Injury

The injury occurred early in the 3rd quarter as Mahomes scrambled to his right. He planted his leg awkwardly while attempting to evade a pass rusher and immediately went to the ground in visible pain. He was helped off the field and did not return.

Impact on Chiefs
