October 21, 2026. Marvin Harrison Jr. has moved from Arizona to Houston and played his first game for the Texans. The move creates a new role to evaluate, but his limited debut and Tank Dell's planned return make a full-time workload an assumption worth checking before a trade.

What were the final trade terms?

Houston's October 12 transaction notice confirms Harrison's acquisition. The Cardinals' announcement lists the compensation:

Houston receivesArizona receives
Marvin Harrison Jr. and a 2027 sixth-round pickA 2027 second-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick

These are NFL draft assets exchanged by the teams. They do not establish Harrison's price in your fantasy league.

His Houston debut provides a starting point

The Houston Chronicle's October 18 game coverage records three receptions for 34 yards, with four targets on 12 snaps against Jacksonville. Arizona Sports also covered his first Texans appearance.

That is evidence of involvement, rather than proof of a settled weekly role. A high target rate on a small number of snaps can disappear when the player runs more routes. Conversely, a limited first workload after a trade does not mean the coaching staff intends to keep that workload unchanged.

Before starting him over an established option, look for broader route participation and repeated opportunities. If he remains part of a small package of plays, the range of weekly outcomes stays wide.

Tank Dell's return changes the next comparison

On October 19, DeMeco Ryans said Dell would return against the Giants. Harrison's debut therefore cannot settle the target distribution for the receiving group Houston expects to field next.

Watch whether Harrison's routes expand with Dell available and where each receiver lines up. A receiver returning from injury and a receiver learning a new offense can both gain playing time; their opportunities do not have to move in opposite directions every week.

Buy, hold or sell in dynasty?

Buy when the price still allows for an uncertain role. Houston offers a different setting to evaluate Harrison. That change alone does not make an offer based on guaranteed elite production reasonable.

Hold if the available offers treat a limited debut as his permanent ceiling. Waiting for a larger sample can be sensible when your roster can absorb low-scoring weeks. A contender who needs a dependable starter now has a different tolerance for that wait.

Consider selling when another manager pays for a fully established lead-receiver role. Compare the actual player or picks offered with the risk you retain by waiting. A headline-driven increase in interest is useful only if it produces an offer that improves your roster.

For redraft, roster him for possible growth and judge the next starting decision against your available receivers. For dynasty, weigh the longer opportunity alongside the cost of holding a player whose immediate role remains unsettled. The player valuation guide can help structure that comparison.
