Week 8 Trade Board: Lamb, Javonte Williams, and the Eagles After Monday Night

Dallas beat Philadelphia 38-21 to close Week 7. How to price CeeDee Lamb's two scores, Javonte Williams' career-high rushing night, and Saquon Barkley's limited return before Sunday's Week 8 games.

Week 8CeeDee LambJavonte WilliamsSaquon BarkleyDallas CowboysPhiladelphia Eagles

Monday night is already in the Week 8 price

Dallas beat Philadelphia 38-21 on Monday, October 26, at Lincoln Financial Field. The Associated Press reported Dak Prescott's three touchdown passes, Javonte Williams' 155 rushing yards, and a fifth straight Eagles loss, the longest Philadelphia skid since 2016. The ESPN box score lists the Cowboys at 3-4 and the Eagles at 2-5. AP also has the Giants leading the NFC East at 4-2-1, so Dallas is still in a division race. Philadelphia is not.

That game closed Week 7. Week 8 is the pricing week. The NFL Week 8 schedule sends the Cardinals to Dallas on Sunday, November 1, at 1:00 p.m. ET, and sends the Eagles to Washington that night at 8:20 p.m. on NBC. Both clubs are coming off Monday night. Dallas has the shorter turnaround.

FantasyPros and the Roto Street Journal both published Week 8 redraft trade-value charts on October 27. Those charts are analyst composites for negotiation. They are not official prices, and the numbers are not reprinted here. A Tuesday offer in your league can move faster than a chart built from rankings. Start with the box score. If a chart and the game disagree, the game is the newer fact.

Week 8 byes for the 49ers, Giants, Saints, and Texans, and the waiver order around them, are already in the October 26 trade note, along with the Jonathan Taylor rumor. This board is the Monday night game that note did not cover.

CeeDee Lamb: hold the 12 targets

Lamb caught 5 of 12 targets for 74 yards and two touchdowns. That line is on the ESPN box score, in NBC Sports, and in FantasyPros. NBC added the misses the catch rate implies: two drops, a 9-yard score, and a 16-yard score, on a team-high 12 targets. The same note says he has seen 56 targets over his previous four games, with 12 or more in three of those four.

Prescott did not need a pass-heavy script to find him. Dallas also rushed 38 times for 204 yards. Lamb still led the team in targets. That is the piece that should survive into a home game against Arizona. The two touchdowns are the piece that should not be added on top of his price as if they are now weekly.

Redraft: hold, and start him against the Cardinals unless he is hurt. Selling because 5-of-12 looks inefficient means selling the volume that keeps him in lineups. Buying as if both scores are the new floor means paying for the part of the box score that does not repeat on command. The fair buy is the offer where the other manager is docking him for the drops and you are paying the receiver price you already believed. It is not a price that stacks Monday's touchdowns on top of that.

Dynasty: hold. One prime-time line does not change the receiver. A contender can listen when the return is a receiver you would start the rest of 2026 plus a future piece you actually want. A rebuilder should not move him because Dallas is 3-4. AP's division note is that the NFC East is open. That is not a discount.

Javonte Williams: the career high was real, and so was the script

Williams carried 25 times for 155 yards and a touchdown, at 6.2 yards per carry with a long of 34. ESPN, the AP recap, NBC Sports, and FantasyPros all have the line, and the fantasy notes call 155 a career high. DallasCowboys.com, citing ESPN, said it was the most by a Cowboys running back since Ezekiel Elliott's 159 yards against Tampa Bay on December 18, 2016. He did not catch a pass. NBC noted the zero receptions, and he does not appear on the ESPN receiving list. Dallas closed the game by giving him six straight carries. The last one was a 2-yard touchdown. The Cowboys' recap also credits him with a 34-yard run earlier in the fourth quarter.

The season rate is the other half of the price. Dallas entered Monday last in the NFL in carries per game, at 20.9, and 30th in rushing yards, at 76 per game, according to the team recap. The final rush line was 38 carries for 204 yards, a 5.4 average, against a season mark of 3.7. Tyler Goodson still carried 10 times for 38 yards. Williams led a backfield in a game Dallas protected a two-score lead on the ground. That is a real role for one night. It is not yet a new season-long rate.

NBC's note said the home game against Arizona puts him back in RB1 conversations. Treat that as one desk's reaction to the box score. The Cardinals are 2-5 on the NFL's Week 8 game page. A record is not a projection, and this piece is not assigning one.

Redraft: hold if you roster him. Buy only if the other manager is still using the first six weeks. The career high is evidence that he can handle a full game when Dallas commits to the run. That buy is live when the offer still prices a back who was stuck on a team that would not run. It is no longer live when the other manager wants an every-week workhorse price for one 25-carry night. Goodson's 10 carries are the reason to leave that premium out. Sell only when the return is a back you would start in Week 8 even if Williams handles something closer to 15 carries than 25. A receiver who fills a bye can be the centerpiece. A flex who needs another 155-yard night cannot.

Dynasty: hold. Monday raises the 2026 role. It does not erase the light-volume weeks before it. Pay for a larger job after another game looks like this one. Do not pay for it on this game alone, and do not sell the career high as if the first six weeks are the only sample that counts.

Dak, Pickens, and the cheap Dallas spike

Prescott completed 15 of 27 passes for 212 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. He was not sacked. ESPN lists a 118.1 passer rating. The Cowboys' recap said the line followed two rough outings, and that Dallas scored on seven of nine possessions for a season-best 416 yards. Two of the touchdown passes went to Lamb. The third was a 21-yard score to George Pickens. Prescott also scored the two-point run that made it 28-21.

Pickens caught 4 of 6 targets for 57 yards and that touchdown. He is the WR2 in the box score. Ryan Flournoy caught all 4 of his targets for 70 yards, including the 35-yard gain in the team recap, and did not score. Jake Ferguson was targeted once and did not catch a pass. Brevyn Spann-Ford caught 2 of 2 targets for 11 yards. The tight ends were not the story.

Redraft: hold Prescott in superflex and start him at home against Arizona. In a one-quarterback league he is a stream, or a modest add if your starter is on bye. He is not a quarterback you acquire by sending a running back for a 212-yard night. Hold Pickens as a WR2 or a flex. The score was one of six targets. The 2026 franchise tag, and what it does to his value after this season, is already in the Pickens tag note. Do not reprice that tag off one touchdown. Flournoy is a spike. If he is on waivers, he is a depth claim in a deep league. If someone offers a player you would start for him, take the starter.

Dynasty: Prescott and Pickens are holds. Flournoy is not a pick you send.

Saquon Barkley: nine snaps, a score, and no Week 8 ruling

Barkley returned after missing the previous two games with a hamstring injury. NFL.com said he entered questionable and played nine snaps. The Inquirer said he was on a snap restriction, that nine snaps were fewer than the team planned, and that he touched the ball every time he was on the field. The stat line matches in both stories and on the ESPN box score: seven carries for 62 yards and a touchdown, plus two catches for 9 yards. The Inquirer described the opening drive as a 12-yard catch from Tanner McKee, a 29-yard run, and an 8-yard touchdown, his first of the season.

The injury description is not one clean sentence. The price should not pretend that it is.

NFL.com, citing ESPN, reported that Barkley said the hamstring "came out great," and that he exited after his back tightened. Inquirer writer Jeff Neiburg wrote that Barkley was hobbling on the first series because his back locked up, not because of the hamstring, and that he spent time with trainers and on a stationary bike. USA Today and PennLive reported a different sequence from his postgame comments: he tweaked the hamstring on the long run, then hurt his back while trying to compensate. The accounts agree that his back became a problem during the game. They do not agree on whether the hamstring itself flared again. This board does not pick a winner between them.

What he said about Sunday is narrower than a lineup lock. The Inquirer reported that he does not expect the back issue to keep him out for the trip to Washington, and that nothing is guaranteed on an offense that finished Monday without six Week 1 offensive starters. PennLive quoted his answer when asked if the back could cost him that game: "I don't believe so. But I'm going to leave that up to the medical staff." As of Tuesday, October 27, neither the NFL.com story nor the Inquirer story lists him inactive for Week 8. A practice report later this week can change the status. Monday's box score cannot.

Nick Sirianni told NFL.com the club checked with Barkley and the medical staff before playing him, and that the plan was to keep a close eye on him. Philadelphia also played without DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks. The Inquirer's Tuesday injury roundup lists Smith's absence as a hamstring and Wicks' absence as an ankle.

NFL.com raised the November 10 trade deadline as a question, not a transaction. A 2-5 record can put movable players, including Barkley, into a selling conversation. Barkley told reporters that is not where his mind is. No deal is in the reporting used here. Do not add a landing spot to the offer.

Redraft: hold if the roster can absorb a short-week question. Do not buy a full workload. The touchdown was an 8-yard run on a drive that also produced the 29-yard gain. The usage was nine snaps. If you need a locked Week 8 starter, he is not that purchase until Philadelphia shows the snaps are available. If you own him, the acceptable sell is a back you would start in Washington even if Barkley plays. Moving him for a flex because the back might cost him one game is the panic price. Benching him for someone you trust is a lineup decision. It is not a reason to clear the roster spot on Tuesday.

Dynasty: hold. The unsettled weeks are in 2026, and even those are not settled. A contender who cannot absorb another limited outing can move him when the package includes a back who starts now and a piece that replaces seasons after this one. A rebuilder who sells because Philadelphia is 2-5 is selling at the moment the record looks worst. Decline that offer. A question about whether the club might sell before November 10 is not a known destination.

The Eagles who actually carried the rest of the night

Dameon Pierce carried 14 times for 47 yards and a touchdown. That is the ESPN line, and it is the rushing workload behind Barkley's snap count. The Inquirer's Tuesday roundup said Pierce led the team in carries, then left in the fourth quarter with an unspecified injury and did not return. That is a report of an exit. It is not a Week 8 designation. Elijah Mitchell rushed three times for 11 yards and caught 3 of 4 targets for 23 yards. The Inquirer described him as a player signed to the practice squad this week after spending training camp with the club. He is the next name if both Barkley and Pierce are limited. On this box score, he is not the back who handled the game.

Redraft: Pierce is the claim if you own Barkley and a bench spot is open, and only after you see whether he practices. A few dollars of a $100 FAAB budget, or a waiver priority you can spare, fits a contingency back. A bid that would have won a clear starter assumes a job the injury report has not assigned. Mitchell is a deeper dart, behind Pierce and behind the receiver claims already ranked in the October 26 waiver note. Dynasty: both are bench fliers. Do not send a pick for either one off a Monday snap count.

Makai Lemon caught 7 of 8 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown. The Cowboys' recap describes the score as a 4-yard pass from McKee that gave Philadelphia a 21-20 lead in the third quarter. Dallas Goedert caught 5 of 7 targets for 48 yards and did not score. Hollywood Brown caught 2 of 5 targets for 30 yards. The targets were spread on a night Smith and Wicks were out. Lemon's line is a Week 8 dart if those two remain out. It is not a job he has been handed for the rest of the year.

Redraft: if Smith and Wicks are still unavailable by the weekend, Lemon is a flex add in leagues where he is free. Price him under a receiver who has a role with the starters healthy. Goedert is a hold. Buy him only at a tight-end price you were already willing to pay, because the seven targets came with the top two wide receivers inactive. Dynasty: Lemon is a rookie stash if the cost is waivers. He is not a trade you force after one score. Goedert is a hold.

Tanner McKee is a stream, not a trade chip

McKee completed 23 of 35 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, and he was sacked twice for 11 yards. ESPN lists a 79.6 passer rating and credits the interception to DeMarvion Overshown. The Inquirer's game story said he started consecutive games for the first time since his senior year at Stanford in 2022. The paper's Tuesday file called Monday his second start, and his first since Jalen Hurts was shut down. Hurts' roster plan is in the October 21 note. Monday did not turn McKee into a quarterback you acquire with a skill-position starter.

Redraft: stream him in superflex, or in a one-quarterback league whose starter is on bye, for the short-week trip to Washington. Keep the bid modest, and keep it behind the running-back and receiver holes. Dynasty: he is a cheap hold if you already rostered him. He is not a first-round pick while Hurts' longer-term value is still a separate question.

Do not fold Jonathan Taylor into this game

A Jonathan Taylor deal is still the other open trade question this week. It is not the same decision as this game. The October 26 note covers the reported interest, the contract, and the November 10 deadline. Dallas was not one of the clubs in that reporting. The Cowboys' Week 9 trip to Indianapolis, on November 8, is a game on the schedule. It is not a landing spot. Use the Taylor article when the offer on the screen is Taylor. Use this board when the offer is Lamb, Williams, Barkley, or an Eagle who played because Barkley, Smith, or Wicks could not take a full game.

What to do before Sunday

Run the actual offer through your league's scoring in the trade analyzer after you decide which side of the table you are on. The labels below are a frame for a 12-team redraft league and for dynasty. They are not stat projections, and they are not a chart copied from another site. For the difference between a one-year price and a multi-year price, the dynasty trade guide is the longer checklist. Your fantasy league's own trade deadline is a separate date from November 10. Confirm it in the league settings, using the fantasy trade-deadline guide if you need the click path.

  • Start Lamb. Trade him only for a receiver you would start the rest of the way, plus extra.
  • Hold Williams unless a manager is still selling the first six weeks. Buy that older price. Decline the price that assumes 25 carries every week.
  • Keep Barkley unless the return starts for you even if he plays Sunday. Do not pay for a full workload until the practice report supports it.
  • Treat Pierce as a small contingency claim after you see Wednesday's availability. Treat Lemon as a receiver add only if Smith and Wicks stay out.
  • Stream McKee if the quarterback spot is the hole. Do not trade a back to fill it.
  • Shop Taylor only under the rules in the October 26 article. This game did not add a suitor.
